Joe Gordon, MBA                                            
Joe is a native Houstonian and an alumnus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he received his bachelor degree in Biology and Regis University in Denver, CO, where he received his Master of Business Administration. Joe is an associate minister at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX. He owns Taylor, Pointer & Associates, a grant writing business and educational consulting company. Also, serves as a Science and Business Department Chairman for Evolution Academy Charter School.   Among his accomplishments, Mr. Gordon is a Citizen of the Year for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the founder of Brothers Reaching Out (B.R.O.), a mentoring program for young men; a former Chaplain for the Houston Area Coalition of Chapters and Rho Nu Chapter for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; a  and a member of 100 Black Men of American, Houston Metropolitan Chapter. He is currently the office manager at Emmit Moss Trust Property Management Company. 

 

David C. Anderson, Sr., MS
David  is a chemical engineer. He received his bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech in June 1999 and his Masters of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2001. David has received several awards, including: Jesse H. Jones Memorial Scholarship, NACME Corporate Scholarship, and GEM Fellow.  David has been performing hours of community service in different capacities through several programs sponsored by National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), United Way, and the NuUp Friendship Outreach, Inc. He is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., True Square Lodge #108 (PHA), Corinthian Consistory #5 - AASR (NJ PHA), and Suakim Temple # 60 AEAONMS. He is married with two children and is currently living in Thailand. 

 

Bert B. Jennings, III, MS, MIPS, JD
Bert  is responsible for all legal matters associated with Empowering Through Education, Inc. He is a cum laude graduate of Morehouse College, ha a MS from Clark-Atlanta University, an MIP from Franklin Pierce Law Center and JD from Georgia State University.  Mr. Jennings has ten years of legal experience as a patent attorney and is affiliated with a number of prestigious associations and organizations, including President of State Bar of Texas, African American Lawyers Section, Board Member of 100 Black Men of America and former President and Board Chairman of Metropolitan Houston Chapter of 100 Black Men of America. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is married has one son and one daughter. 

 

Cornelius Z. Jones, ME, MBA                         
Cornelius is a PVL/CVL Lubricants Territory Manager, Mid Atlantic District, for ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company.  He has over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.  A graduate of Letourneau University (Longview, TX) and University of South Alabama (Mobile, AL), Mr. Jones has received honors from American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Phi Eta Sigma, and Blue Key Honor Societies and is a member of 100 Black Men of American, Houston Metropolitan Chapter. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
